Ambisonic setup

Ok, so i've got tidalcycles running with 12 outputs from supercollider into an ambisonic setup on reaper. The pan on tidalcycles seems to spread the output too much, so a pan of 0 spreads across 6 channels of output. Is there a way of narrowing the spread of the output? Also if there are 12 channels of output, are they addressed as pan 0 to pan 11?

I've also noticed that at pan 0, channels 1 2 3 4 & 7 8 have audio. Is there some kind of panning logic applied to the pan command?

Hi all! How do people do multichannel stuff? To start with - say if I've got 4 channels, then I want d1 to go to 1st channel, d2 to go to 2nd, d3 to 3rd, etc...? And i guess it would be much harder to spatialise it, so for example to have d1 moving around the room/through the different channels at different points..? Thanks in advance!

Thanks ! Most helpful. I was wondering back then how those options interacted with each other. The s.options.numOutputBusChannels= also makes a difference too.
