How can I find the default samples in mac in order to preview them?

Not exactly answering the question, but here is my (opinionated) run through all of the default samples in tidal:

On my Mac, the samples are in
~/Library/Application Support/SuperCollider/downloaded-quarks/Dirt-Samples
The TidalCycles extension for VSCode has a file browser that can be configured to show your samples. As well as previewing samples, it handily shows the numeric index of each sample in the folder.
