Google summer of code

Congrats to @polymorphic.engine for being accepted on to the google summer of code/summer of haskell programme, with an exciting proposal to work on a binary distribution of Tidal and its API:

There were a good number of tidal-related proposals, it's a real shame that more couldn't be accepted.

congrats @polymorphic.engine !

I'd be curious to read more details, it sounds like you'll be solving one of the biggest issues tidal has (ie installation barrier)?

Thanks Alex!
I'm really excited to be able to work on tidal and I'm looking forward to the challange

Thank you!

yes that is the goal!

I'm thinking about writing a little blog (maybe here in the forum) so you can follow my progress

Congratulations @polymorphic.engine ! It's a great project, and a very useful one for the live-coding community as a whole. This project will be very useful for the future of tidaling. I hope to be able to test this out with my students in a near future  .
