As a new user, of course I want to complete the interactive new user tutorial ‒ especially if it awards the Certified badge. But where is it? I searched the forum and couldn’t find it.
This will be the tutorial for this forum, rather than for anything tidalcycles-specific. I’m not sure how to start the forum tutorial off-hand, think as a new user a bot will have started messaging you about it.
Indeed, In Personal Messages there is a message from System with the subject, “Thanks for spending time with us”. It says:
Hey there. We see you’ve been busy reading, which is fantastic, so we’ve promoted you up a trust level!
We’re really glad you’re spending time with us and we’d love to know more about you. Take a moment to fill out your profile, or feel free to start a new topic.
When I click on the “trust level” link I see a blog post, Understanding Discourse Trust Levels. In this blog, Jeff Atwood says:
Every new user gets a welcome PM mentioning the trust system and linking to this blog post, explaining that new users may be temporarily limited for safety reasons. They are also invited to start an optional interactive training conversation with discobot.
But… where is the interactive tutorial?
The tutorial is run by @discobot : Profile - discobot - Tidal Club
You start it by sending them a message saying: ‘start tutorial’
They’ll then reply asking you to bookmark the message. Do that and they’ll tell you what to do next.
You can also start an advanced tutorial with the message ‘start advanced tutorial’
