It is possible to get current volume levels (rms) for each orbit from superdirt, but would involve a bit of programming. What use for this do you have in mind?
I guess it would be just for visual feedback because I'm not using TidalCycles frequently and I'm still getting used to this process. So if my orbits' instrument change throughout a performance/track and I mute and stop some orbits and then have orbits with higher numbers still playing it gets a kinda confusing sometimes.
It's not worth trying to program stuff in SuperDirt, I think I can try to define what each orbit will play, what kind of instrument or part, and then just keep the coherence throughout each track. Or I can just take notes of what's playing on other window or just on a paper
